The Grey Hare Inn Vineyard Bed and Breakfast is an elegant and quaint country estate located on Old Mission Peninsula in beautiful Traverse City Michigan. Surrounded by breathtaking vineyard, orchard and distant bay views, the Grey Hare Inn boasts an almost guaranteed peaceful getaway. Spend your day walking in the quiet hardwood forest (we recommend snowshoeing in the winter), or spend time basking in the gardens underneath Northern Michigan’s sunshine; with a glass of local wine, of course! If you’ve never played the French summertime classic “Bocce Ball”, now’s your chance: we have an entire court for it! In the evening, the Inn’s limestone fireplace is usually roaring, ready for those crackling late-night conversations or comforting reads. On a warm summer’s evening an outdoor fire-pit is typically ablaze underneath the sparkling Northern Michigan starry-night sky.
If you’re feeling like going on an adventure, however, there’s plenty to do on Old Mission Peninsula: wine tasting, beach bathing, historical sites, gourmet eating and more!
Just seven miles South of the Inn is bustling Traverse City, named the “perfect small town getaway” by Travel+Leisure. https://www.travelandleisure.com/travel-guide/traverse-city
Each morning a decadent array of pastries awaits you with the morning sun. Fresh ground, local coffee, local tea and even a full-menu espresso machine area always brewing and ready to start your day.
Complimentary, gourmet breakfast always follows, using only seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and products from Traverse City and the surrounding area. We’re proud to showcase what Northern Michigan has to offer and hope you will seek out local products to purchase as part of your souvenirs to take home.
Breakfast is served in our Bistro at your desired time between 8-10 A.M. There are always two options available for the main course, offering a multitude of options for any kind of eater out there! Did we mention you can eat outside?!
